Irony

To discover the North Pole, the fearless men sailed,
But, sadly, poor weather conditions prevailed.
And so they adopted a secondary goal,
Locating precisely the Magnetic Pole.
And when they discovered it, it was a tonic,
But, as one man said, it was somewhat ironic.
