He used to wolf down cakes all sweet and sugary,
With carbohydrates off the Richter scale,
He used to eat big creamy buns like buggery,
Until he grew as massive as a whale.
He never ever bothered exercising,
But sat recumbent in his comfy chair,
Quite content, but never realising
The proximity of Death’s relentless stare.
But still for breakfast he’d devour a curry,
Followed by a great big apple tart.
He thought his health was not a source for worry,
Until one day he had a change of heart.
With carbohydrates off the Richter scale,
He used to eat big creamy buns like buggery,
Until he grew as massive as a whale.

But sat recumbent in his comfy chair,
Quite content, but never realising

He thought his health was not a source for worry,
Until one day he had a change of heart.
