Our daughter is recovering in the Mater,
They say that she’ll be out within a week.
Evenings I go in to have a natter,
Although she’s still too traumatised to speak.
In time, they say, she’ll hold a conversation,
Though now, all she can utter is a groan,
But still we’re glad she had the operation
To surgically remove her mobile phone.
